Today is Woman’s Day in South Africa, a day when we celebrate the 20,000 incredible and brave women who marched on parliament to protest the very oppressive pass laws that were imposed on women of colour, even more so than the men
Despite all that may have changed over the years women still suffer discrimination, and terrible rates of gender based violence in our still sadly get misogynistic state.
So today take a moment, pause and remember all those women who went before us, and all those still to come. Let us work to make a country worthy of their future
